Message from the Secretary General of the Turkic Council in honor of "National Independence and Children's day of Turkey"

“Today we are happy to celebrate the National Day of the Republic of Turkey - the Day of National Independence and Children of Turkey. Representing the national will of the Turkish people, the Great National Assembly was established on this day 101 years ago, and the founder of the country, the great statesman of his century, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk dedicated this important day to children, whoare the holders of our future.
The Turkish Grand National Assembly, as a defender of the rule of law, fundamental rights and freedoms, is one of the most important institutions of the Turkish state. On this occasion, I would like to congratulate the Government and the fraternal Turkish people and wish eternal prosperity to the nation of Turkey”- said Baghdad Amreev.
On April 23, 1920, during the Turkish War of Independence, at the meeting of the Grand National Assembly in Ankara, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk made a speech and announced that the children of the whole world are the future of mankind. Since then, April 23 has been considered a Turkish national holiday dedicated to the independence of Turkey and the children of the whole world.
