14 power plants to be launched in Uzbekistan by the end of 2024

This became known from the list of investment agreements of the Ministry of Energy

Since the establishment of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, that is, over a period of more than two and a half years, 17 investment agreements with a total capacity of 7,231 MW have been signed in the electric power industry.

A 100 MW photoelectric power plant in Navoi Oblast, built, owned and operated by UAE-based Masdar, has recently been commissioned.

According to the list, by the end of 2024, 14 power plants with a total capacity of more than 7,000 MW will start operating in the country. Companies from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Germany and the United Arab Emirates will invest in the construction of the stations.

In addition, the Ministry of Energy announced tenders for the construction of five power plants with a total capacity of 2,100 MW.
