Bottom lines in export

On December 20, 2021, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov organized a video conference concerning the issues on scrutiny of export’s current state and its practical support in Uzbekistan.

The virtual conference encompassed ministries, departments, sectoral associations and local authorities of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and Tashkent city.

The current state of foreign trade activity by sectors and regions was analyzed. The heads of ministries and departments gave updates on the work they were doing to boost export potential, stimulate export operations, and form partnerships with exporting enterprises.

Practical assistance to enterprises were highlighted in repaying prepaid VAT, exporting, collecting receivables, meeting the need for working capital, finding foreign customers, uninterrupted use of infrastructure communications and other pressing issues.

The heads of ministries, departments, industry associations, commercial banks and local authorities have been instructed to work directly with exporters to mobilize untapped resources and opportunities and dramatically boost exports.

Officials were given supplementary instructions on the issues covered at the conclusion of the meeting.
