Bulletin for the disabled, sanitary standards, accreditation of international observers and the media - discussed at a meeting of the CEC

On September 30, 2021, a regular meeting of the Central Election Commission took place.
It discusses questions about additional measures to ensure the suffrage of persons with disabilities.
Article 31 of the Electoral Code stipulates that stencils can be made to fill ballots in Braille.
The meeting approved the sample and description of the stencil made on the basis of the Braille alphabet.
The head of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Service noted that during the election period, the buildings and premises of precinct election commissions will be disinfected in a timely manner.
The agenda included issues of accreditation of observers from international organizations and foreign countries, as well as accreditation of media representatives.
The total number of observers accredited to date from foreign countries and international organizations at the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan is 159 people.
Currently, 1253 representatives of local media and 48 representatives of foreign media are accredited.
At the end of the meeting, the reports of the chairmen of the Samarkand, Fergana and Khorezm constituencies on preparations for the elections were heard.
