Compatriots in Russia were strictly warned against forming battalions and participating in military operations

The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation warns compatriots against forming volunteer battalions on the territory of foreign countries and participating in military operations. Criminal liability is established for these actions.

According to the embassy, according to Article 154 "Recruitment" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, illegal participation in armed conflicts or military operations on the territory of a foreign country is a crime.

The penalty for committing these acts is up to ten years of imprisonment.

The embassy warns its citizens that all persons who have impartial information about the commission of illegal actions stipulated in the above article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be held criminally liable without exception. Also, the embassy urges Uzbeks not to give in to invitations and to be careful.
