Freight traffic between the railways of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan has been restored

On 8-10 February this year a meeting was held with the Afghan delegation headed by Baiturrahman Sharofat, the head of Afghanistan Railways Administration.

An agreement was reached to sign a new contract between the Afghan Railways Administration and Sogdiana trans ShK to continue operating the Hairatan-Mazar-i-Sharif railway in the future.

At the same time, supply of wagons to the Hairatan station of Sogdiana Trans JSC of Uzbekistan Temir Yullari has been resumed since February 10 of the current year.

As a result of the negotiations, a protocol on the achieved agreements was signed.
