Honorary Consulate of Uzbekistan opened in Valencia, Spain

On the initiative of Embassy of Uzbekistan in Spain opened Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the Silk Museum building in Valencia .

President of Silk Art Institute "Arte Mayor de la Seda" Gonzalo Orduña, head of this institute`s Fund Vicente Xenovas, Tourism Consultant of Valencia City Council Emiliano Garcia, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Spain Jahangir Ganiev and Honorary Consul of Uzbekistan in Valencia Jose Maria Chikio made a speech at the event.

"I look at this with great enthusiasm and at the same time with serious responsibility as a representative of this country in the community of Valencia. I hope to justify the trust placed in me," said Jose Maria Chiquio, who was appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Valencia.

It was also noted that the responsibility of the honorary consul is to serve the citizens of Uzbekistan in Valencia, as well as to promote the strengthening of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
