Initiative budget: a total of 61,566 initiatives have been put forward by citizens

Of the 61,566 proposals received from Citizens for the second season of the "Initiative budget", 22% fell on the Surkhandarya region. 98% of all neighborhoods in the Republic participate in the project.

The Ministry of Finance published data on the projects received within the framework of the second season of the initiative budget process in 2022, on the sections of Regions and areas, as well as on the involvement of neighborhoods in this process.

It is reported that a total of 61,566 initiatives were put forward by citizens, of which 22 percent (13,691) came from the Surkhandarya region. This-even more than twice the indicator of the regions in the next places.

32 percent of the projects put forward were initiatives to repair internal roads (sidewalks, overpasses), 13 percent to repair or equip secondary schools, and 12 percent to repair and install street lights.

202 initiatives were put forward by the Bozatov neighborhood, which is located in the Bozatov District of Karakalpakstan, and the most actively involved in this regard is noted in the first place in the ranking of neighborhoods. The next steps in activity were taken by the Enlightenment of Termez City of Surkhandarya region and the Terakzor neighborhoods of Sariosiya district.

Of the total 9,363 neighborhoods in the Republic, only 162 did not receive proposals.

P.S. From July 15 this year, the second season of the “Initiative budget” process will begin, and within the framework of this season it is planned to direct about 900 billion soums in order to finance the projects that were recognized as winners.
