International chess school in Uzbekistan

The President's decision "On additional measures for popularization and development of chess" was adopted.

In accordance with the decision, the International Chess School was established in Navoi region, which is considered a state sports-educational institution in addition to the school with the status of a legal entity.

The school is tasked with training world-class chess players and strengthening the coaching staff.

Starting from 2023, the final stage of the annual international chess tournament for the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be held on the basis of the institution.
