On August 18, 1900, the word "television" was proposed for the first time by the Russian engineer Konstantin Dmitrievich Persky.

On this day, the scientist gave a speech at the 4th International Electrotechnical Congress held in Paris, where the word "television" was mentioned for the first time in his speech. 122 years later, the word "television" is widely used.

Initially, this word spread throughout Europe, in Russia it took root only in the mid-1930s.

On July 26, 1928, in Tashkent, a group of scientists led by Boris Pavlovich Grabovsky demonstrated the moving Tashkent tram for the first time on an experimental television device.
