Michael Jordan's «Last Dance» sold for $2.2 million

Basketball legend Michael Jordan's «Last Dance» sneakers, in which he played in the '98 NBA Finals, became the most expensive sneakers ever sold.

Yesterday, April 12, the basketball player's Nike Air Jordan 13 sneakers sold for a record $2.2 million.

«This is a new world record, but it was sold at the lowest expected price. In fact, it was expected to be bought for $2 million to $4 million,» auction organizers said.

The basketball legend wore it in the 1998 NBA Finals. It became known as «The Last Dance» because that year was Jordan's last year with the Chicago Bulls.
