MIFT: Young Leaders Program for Uzbek civil servants

Sardor Umurzakov, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan - Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, met with Minister of Government of the United Arab Emirates Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi on December 8 in Dubai as part of the EXPO 2020 Dubai World Exhibition.

According to the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade (MIFT), the discussions focused on issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular, the implementation of the Public Administration Efficiency Program, which will be implemented jointly with the United Arab Emirates from 2019.

All 25 areas of the program, including projects such as "One Million Uzbek Programmers", "Government Accelerator", "Safe City", as well as the development of national development strategies, elaborating the insurance sector, digitalization of public services, innovation, achievements in other areas of cooperation within the program, such as industrial capacity building, were canvassed in detail.
