Mirziyoyev said that in 2022, more than half of university graduates will not be able to find a job

Last year, 6.5 thousand out of more than 11 thousand graduates of 11 state universities were not employed in Uzbekistan. Or 3 thousand students who studied on a grant did not get a job either. This was stated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
According to the head of state, even in the field of vocational education, 143 thousand young people graduated from colleges and technical schools last year, of which 30 thousand could not find a job.
In this regard, from now on, each minister will set the qualification requirements for professions in his industry, while 70% of professions will have secondary specialized education, and 30% will have higher education.
The ministries also participate in the development of curricula of universities and colleges and technical schools together with their orders.
On behalf of the President, each minister and governor of the region develops and announces its youth employment programs to the population at the beginning of the year, and reports to the public on the results at the end of the year.
