Official information: Tashkent will host the 2023 World Adult Boxing Championships

At a press conference attended by Umar Kremlev, President of the International Boxing Association (IBA), it was officially confirmed on November 7 in Oman, Jordan, that Tashkent will host the World Championships from May 1 to 14, 2023.
It is noted that the tournament, which is being hosted by Uzbekistan, will feature a record-breaking prize fund. The World Cup prize fund stands at $5.2 million. Winners of gold medals will receive $200,000, winners of second place will receive $100,000 and winners of bronze medals $50,000.
P.S. The World Boxing Championships have been held since 1974. The tournament, which was held every four years until 1986, has been held every two years since 1989. This is the first time our country is hosting this tournament.
