Persons under the age of 15 will be able to work legally in Uzbekistan

According to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Approval of the Labour Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan", it is established that the conclusion of a legal employment contract is also allowed for persons under the age of fifteen. The list of jobs, professions and positions to which children may be employed is approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

Pursuant to the Labour Code, in cultural and entertainment organizations and television, radio and other mass media, employment contracts may be concluded with persons under 15 years of age for participation in the production and performance of works, with their parents' consent.

The list of jobs, professions and positions to which children may be employed is approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The employment contract is signed on behalf of the employee by his or her parent or surrogate parent. The guardianship and custody body's authorization specifies the maximum daily working hours and other conditions under which the work may be performed.
