President familiarises himself with life in the mahalla

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visits the Saddah Tagi mahalla in Andijan District and familiarises himself with the life of its residents.

More than 3,600 people live in the mahalla. Families living here efficiently use the land. In recent years, poultry farming, viticulture and greenhouse farming have been established as part of the "Every family is an entrepreneur" programme. A sewing enterprise, food shops and workshops are also operating on the territory of the mahalla.

Last year, a new building for the mahalla centre was built, streets were repaired and vineyards were erected.

The work being carried out to provide employment for the population and effectively organize the leisure time of young people is also felt in the life of this mahalla. The low unemployment rate and the fact that not a single crime was reported here last year testify to this.

The head of our state visited the home of local resident Diyor Mamadaliyev.

As is known, population density is high in Andijan region. Accordingly, the demand for housing is high. In particular, five families live in the house of the Mamadalievs. Therefore the family agreed to participate in an experiment according to which prefabricated houses were built in the yard. Such constructions do not cost much, they are warm in winter and cool in summer, and it is not very difficult to install them.

The President congratulated the residents on their new home and inquired about the design of the building and construction materials used.

"Housing is one of the main human needs. The state and businessmen alike are making great efforts in the construction of housing, which serves the interests of our people. Such affordable housing is also necessary to ensure that people have a wide choice, to meet the needs of low-income families," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

Instructions were given to expand this project and localize the construction materials used in it.
