Students may be allowed to work from their sophomore year

Students in Uzbekistan may be allowed to work in their free time in their specialty, starting from their second year. This is stated in the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Under the bill, university students are allowed to work in their free time after their second year of study (starting with the second year for some specialties) on the basis of a certificate issued by the head of the institution of higher education.

The Ministry of Poverty Reduction and Employment proposes to take measures by 2024 to amend and supplement the classifier of basic positions of employees and professions of workers, as well as the scheme for achieving the level of qualification, taking into account that students of higher education institutions will work in their specialty during their studies.
