«Taliban» released 2460 prisoners on the occasion of Ramadan

The supreme leader of the Taliban, Haibatullah Ohundzo, ordered the release of 2,460 prisoners in connection with the end of the holy month of Ramadan and Eid. The Supreme Court of Afghanistan announced this on its Twitter page.

"According to the instructions of the Supreme Leader of the Faithful and the order of the Supreme Judge, 2,460 prisoners will be released from all prisons in the country under amnesty," said in the tweet.

The decree also stipulates that the prison terms of 471 prisoners will be reduced.
