The first robot surgeon in Central Asia

Today, September 28, at the private clinic "Shox International Hospital" in Tashkent, the opening ceremony of the department of robotic surgery took place. It was attended by Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Bekhzod Musaev, President of Meere of South Korea June Hong Kim and CEO of Shox International Hospital Shoira Ermatova.

It is reported that to date, the clinic has carried out 8 surgical operations with the help of a robot surgeon with positive results.

The advantage of surgery performed by a robot surgeon is that it is performed with minimal damage to healthy tissues and with less blood loss. This reduces various risks and shortens the duration of the rehabilitation period. It is noted that after the operation the patient does not experience severe pain.

In addition, due to wide visual capabilities, the accuracy of all manipulations is achieved. In particular, this system allows surgeons to obtain a three-dimensional image of the body from the inside. Robotic surgical instruments are small in size and can bend and rotate in a much larger range than the human hand.

For information, the robot surgeon was first used in the United States in 2000, after which this technology became popular almost all over the world - in Europe, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Russia and now in Uzbekistan.

Today, Shox International Hospital is the only clinic in Uzbekistan where robotic device is installed.
