Titanic passenger's pocket watch sold at auction for 116,000 dollars

The pocket watch of Oscar Scott Woody, the letter carrier who died in the Titanic shipwreck, was reportedly sold at auction in England for £98,000 ($116,000).
The auction was organized by the auction house of Henry Aldridge and Sons of Wiltshire.
The ancient clock was discovered 1 month after the shipwreck. It was later delivered to the letter carrier's widow.
Along with the pocket watch, other Titanic-related items - a restaurant menu ($58,000) and a list of first-class passengers ($41,000) - are also up for auction.
Sources say the list belonged to a Briton, George Brereton. He wanted to earn extra money during the transatlantic flight and for this purpose he compiled a list of victims.
