Development of Turkic interstate transport infrastructure in the focus of attention

As we informed, on October 27 this year in the Ministry of transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan the fifth meeting of heads of the land ports of the Organization of Turkic States member-states, the first meeting of heads of railway administration of the Organization of Turkic States at the hotel "Hilton Tashkent City", and also the 11th meeting of the working group of the Organization of Turkic States on development of transport was held.
At the fifth meeting of heads of land ports of the Organization of Turkic States member states Mirvahid Azimov, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, and representatives of logistics centres "Akhtachi", "Universal Logistics Services", "Termiz Cargo Centre", Baku port of Azerbaijan, ports of Aktau and Kurik of Kazakhstan, and also Mersin port of Turkey took part and discussed further cooperation between the "Ports of Brotherhood".
Issues on increase of cargo transportation among the member states of the Organization of Turkic States, organization of transit traffic with neighboring countries and creation of favorable conditions for container and multi-modal transportation were discussed. The meeting was attended by Secretary General of the Organization Baghdad Amreyev, Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Abdusamat Muminov, Chairman of "O’zbekiston temir yo’llari" JSC Khusniddin Khosilov, Chairman of the "Azərbaycan Dəmir Yolları" JSC Khijran Valehov, Chairman of the "Kazakhstan Temir Joly" JSC Nurlan Saranbayev, Chairman of the "Kyrgyz Railways", Azamat Sakiyev, Deputy Director General of Turkish State Railways Cetin Altin and others.
The 11th Meeting of the Working Group on Transport Development of the Organization of Turkic States was also held, which was attended by experts from Uzbekistan, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Hungary.
It should be noted that the participants of the meeting drew attention to the agreements reached between the OTS member states on the ongoing reforms and cooperation in the transport sector.
Besides, one of the main objectives of the working group meeting was to discuss the preparatory processes for the meeting of the Ministers of Transport of the Organization of Turkic States to be held on 28 October this year in Tashkent, the expected outcomes and further plans.
