Ukraine: Worst is yet to come

According to the Kremlin press service, "Special military operations will be carried out, and the delay in the talks will lead to additional demands on Kiev," Vladimir Putin told Emmanuel Macron by telephone on Thursday.

Concluding the conversation, the French president said that “Worst is yet to come" and that the Russian leader's plans are to "control" the whole of Ukraine.

Speaking at a Russian Security Council meeting, Putin noted that despite "Nazi nationalist propaganda," Russians and Ukrainians are a single nation.
In turn, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said he is ready to hold direct talks with Vladimir Putin, because he considers this is the only way to end the war.

Addressing the West, Zelensky said that if Ukraine collapsed, Russia would attack the rest of Eastern Europe, starting with the Baltic states to reach the Berlin Wall.
