Uzbekistan borrowed $296 million from the World Bank

Uzbekistan has signed 4 agreements with the World Bank in the amount of $296 million. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Kochkorov on his Twitter page.
It is noted that credit agreements worth $ 143 million have been signed with the World Bank in Uzbekistan to improve the energy efficiency of social facilities and $ 142 million for a project of sustainable forestry and restoration of forest landscapes.
"Also, 2 more grant agreements were signed in the amount of $ 8 million and $ 3 million to finance events and consulting services within the framework of the second project. These agreements will contribute to the widespread use of green energy and an environmentally friendly environment in our country,” says Jamshid Kochkorov.
