Watermelon ripened in Kashkadarya

Watermelon ripened at the "Rajab Haji" farm specializing in vegetable growing and policing in Kokdala district of Kashkadarya region. "Kashkadarya gazetasi" reported about it.

The chairman of the farm, a well-known farmer Ulugbek Jumanazarov, said that in December last year, Dolby F1 watermelon seeds were sold, which are distinguished by early maturity, high yield and ease of transportation over long distances, planted in special greenhouses.

Watermelon growers managed to save their seedlings even in the days of abnormally cold weather (up to -22 degrees Celsius) and are harvesting by the middle of April.

Watermelons were planted on 6 hectares of the farm, of which 2 hectares were ripe. The rest will be matured and put on sale over the next 1.5 months. Police officers from Kokdala are growing watermelons on a total of 20,000 hectares of land this year.
