Wind farm worth $ 108 million in Karakalpakstan

Yesterday in Nukus, contracts were signed with AKWA Power (Saudi Arabia) for the construction of a 100 MW wind farm at a budget of $ 108 million.
The power plant is capable of supplying electricity to more than 100,000 residential buildings.

In turn, after its onset, Uzbekistan will be supplied with 350 million KW electricity per annum which is enough to power over 100 thousand domiciles.

To state, this is the third initiative in Karakalpakstan to construct a wind farm. All of this is being accomplished with the assistance of the Saudis.

In fact, Uzbekistan intends to build 10 solar and wind power projects by 2024. In particular, 5 solar power facilities with a combined capacity of 900 megawatts are scheduled to be erected in the Khorezm, Bukhara, Kashkadarya, Namangan, and Fergana territories next year.
