Nodirbek Abdusattorov – the youngest world champion

The 17-year-old Uzbek chess player defeated Yan Nepomnyashchik from Russia in the fight for the championship. The President congratulated Nodirbek on his victory. On the flight from St. Petersburg to Tashkent, the President and the entire delegation watched online the participation of our compatriot Nodirbek Abdusattorov in the World Rapid Chess Championship with enthusiasm.

In the main 13 rounds of the World Cup in Warsaw, the young Uzbek grand master Jan Nepomnyaschy, Fabiano Caruana and Magnus Carlsen scored 9.5 points.

The winner was determined in the extra games.

In a tiebreak in two games, the first game ended in a draw. In the second match, Nodirbek Abdusattorov tried his best compared to Russia's Yana Nepomnyashchik.
