Cooperation in the field of geology between Uzbekistan and Turkiye

On December 19 this year, the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the Deputy Director General of the Mineral Resources Research and Exploration Directorate (MTA) of Turkiye Nail Yildirim and project manager Mustafa Tokoglu.

During the meeting, MTA representatives appreciated conditions created in Uzbekistan for comfortable activities of foreign investors and expressed readiness to take an active part in implementation of new joint projects.

The sides discussed prospects of building up investment cooperation in regard to implementation of new projects in exploration of minerals. It was noted that there are opportunities for the activation of joint work, exchange of experience and technologies, training of specialists of both countries.

At the end of the meeting the parties agreed on the format and measures to develop further cooperation in the implementation of the discussed areas of cooperation.

For information: The Mineral Resources Research and Exploration Authority (MTA) of Turkiye was founded in 1935 as a geological research organization. Its head office is located in Ankara. The main activity of the organisation is to provide geological prospecting services. MTA has been acting in Uzbekistan since 2018.
