Google unveils animated birthday cake

Today, September 27, Google celebrates its 23rd birthday.
Interestingly, this date does not coincide with the registration date of the corporation or the google.com domain name. Why is it customary to celebrate Google's birthday on September 27?
The names of the founders of Google are known to many - they are Larry Page and Sergey Brin. They met while studying at Stanford University in 1995 and worked together on the site relevancy algorithm that later became the basis for the Google search engine.
The domain name google.com was registered on September 15, 1997, and Google Inc. registered on September 4, 1998. However, since 2005, the company's birthday is officially celebrated on September 27th. The date was changed to coincide with the announcement of a record number of web pages indexed by the search engine. So Google, almost like the British queen, has its own official birthday.
Every year, on the occasion of its birthday, Google presents a new doodle - an animated logo that replaces the familiar Google logo on the main search page. In recent years, holiday doodles have begun to rearrange entire flash games.
