The French company Veolia Central & Eastern Europe will be engaged in Tashkent heating

On September 22, a decree of the Cabinet of Ministers was issued, which states that the French company Veolia Central & Eastern Europe will deal with heating in Tashkent on the principle of public-private partnership.

According to the document, in order to implement the project, the Veolia Energy Tashkent company will be created. The enterprise will be entrusted with the task of avoiding losses in heat supply, reducing emergency situations, installing heat water meters, as well as achieving energy and water savings.

In two years, it is planned to modernize the heat supply of 118 apartment buildings and 43 social facilities of Bektemir and Sergeli districts.

Veolia Central & Eastern Europe must invest 20 million euros. Within the framework of the projects, 181 thermal power plants and boiler houses will be modernized, 575.6 km of heating networks will be built and 841.1 km of heating networks will be reconstructed, 51.5 thousand heat energy meters and 2.5 million hot water meters will be installed, and 391 units of special equipment will be purchased. ...

All financial obligations arising from the special project company Veolia Energy Tashkent during the implementation of the project are guaranteed by Veolia Central & Eastern Europe.
