Uzbekistan will host the annual meeting of the Islamic Development Bank Group under the slogan: "Response, recovery, restart"

In the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan, from August 31 to September 4, at the Tashkent International Congress Center, it is planned to hold the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors, the Islamic Development Bank Group. During the event, issues related to the development of institutional tasks will be discussed.

The meeting will be held in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological measures. Issues such as youth development, job creation and others will be discussed regarding the global economy in a pandemic.

More than 2,000 participants are expected to attend the Annual Meeting. The IDB includes 57 countries of the world, the key direction of which is financing large infrastructure and socially significant projects in strategic sectors of the economy, according to the press service of the MIFT.

Uzbekistan was admitted to the IDB in 2003. The main requirement for admission to the bank is participation in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, payment of a membership fee to the bank's capital and compliance with the rules, procedures, terms adopted by the Board of Directors of the bank.
