A new system of state support for children who have lost their parents and are left without parental care will be introduced

The President of our country has signed a corresponding decree on providing housing for children who have lost their parents, getting an education and supporting their legitimate interests.

A new system of providing housing for children who have lost their parents is being introduced:

– for a child who needs housing and has lost his parents at the age of 18 (at least 25 square meters), a 1-room apartment is provided, and for a family enclosed between them (at least 50 square meters), a 2 - room apartment is provided;

– the target parameter for providing housing to 757 children who have lost their parents by December 1, 2021 is approved (1.2 times more than the number of allocated housing over the past 10 years).

In order to stimulate the education of children who have lost their parents:

– children who are in educational institutions are paid compensation in the amount of 4.9 million soums per year for studying at the courses of a non-governmental educational organization;

– students who have lost their parents are paid a scholarship in the amount increased by 50 percent at the expense of the student incentive fund (from the current 470 thousand soums to 705 thousand soums;

– charitable donations to "Mehribonlik" at home or to children who have lost their parents are deducted from the income tax base.

The following new system is being introduced to protect the legitimate interests and social support of children who have lost their parents:

– payments to families who have taken custody of children who have lost disabled parents will be increased to 2.5 million soums, monthly payments of material assistance in the amount of 1.2 million soums will be paid for taking custody and guardianship of children who have lost healthy parents;

– the costs of surgical intervention of children who have lost their parents in foreign countries are fully compensated.
