11 thousand hectares have not been allocated for mulberry plantations

At yesterday's session of the Senate, information was heard on the activities of the Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Sericulture and Wool Industry.
• out of 20 thousand hectares of land that should be allocated for the creation of mulberry plantations throughout the republic, only 9 thousand hectares (45%) were allocated;
• an inventory of existing mulberry trees and single-row mulberry trees in the republic revealed the absence of 3.3 thousand hectares of mulberry trees and 26.5 million hectares of single-row mulberry trees;
• in Navoi, Samarkand, Surkhandarya and Khorezm regions, no land has been allocated for clusters;
• due to the ineffective use of natural pastures, the number of medicinal plants is sharply reduced.
