1.2 trillion soums have been allocated for the construction and repair of medical facilities

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a video conference on March 28 on measures to implement the tasks set in the health sector.
On March 18, the head of state held an open dialogue with medical workers, which adopted a presidential decree on March 24 on the issues and proposals, and identified tasks and responsibilities in seven areas.
The meeting reviewed the work started and monthly plans. First of all, in April, it was noted that 1 million at-risk populations, 700,000 children and 100,000 pregnant women need targeted screening.
The importance of establishing a day hospital in each family clinic, a family doctor's office in 400 neighborhoods, and 1,700 container medical centers in remote areas was emphasized.
Particular attention was paid to improving the quality of emergency care, the creation of additional teams in remote areas, the increase of the monthly salary of anesthesiologists and resuscitators in this system.
This year, 1.2 billion soums have been allocated from the budget for the construction and repair of medical facilities under the investment program. Officials have been instructed to speed up construction and establish a system of maintenance of medical equipment.
In an open dialogue, it was stated that the republic's specialized medical centers should introduce new, high-tech treatment methods. For example, up to 200 patients with leukemia need a bone marrow transplant each year. It was noted that this practice can be established by creating modern conditions at the Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Hematology and Blood Transfusion. All medical centers have been instructed to organize such work.
