133 tons of gold reserves was found in Uzbekistan

A new deposit with gold reserves of 133 tons was found in Uzbekistan. Representatives of the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources organized a press conference with this reason. The head of the main department for the development and reproduction of the mineral resource base Asror Rustamov reported about accomplished work.

Asror Rustamov: “In 2020, several new deposits were registered throughout the republic. Among them, the Chukurkuduk deposit with 133 tons of gold, as well as the deposit with estimated reserves of 70-80 tons, were transferred to the state balance sheet.

Next to the lead-zinc deposit in Surkhandarya, we transferred another polymetallic deposit, Chinorsoy, through the state commission. It contains not only lead, but also metals with reserves of gold and silver.

We have registered large-scale reserves of tungsten at the Sarykul deposit on the border of Samarkand and Kashkadarya regions. This year, the committee was allocated 1.2 trillion soums. Of these, 185 billion soums will be spent on equipment. This will help us in our scientific work.

A large copper mine in Almalyk will also open soon. Here, more than 200 thousand tons of copper reserves have been transferred to the operating state balance.
