21st meeting of ministers responsible for foreign economic and trade activities of SCO member states

On September 28, 2022, the delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan H.F.Teshaboev participated in the 21st meeting of ministers responsible for foreign economic and foreign trade activities of the SCO member states.

The parties discussed the current state of trade-economic and investment cooperation within the SCO and prospects for its further development, including liberalization and simplification of trade and investment procedures, multilateral trade system, continuity of production and supply, digital economy, regional trade-economic they exchanged views on cooperation and other areas.

The Uzbek side noted the importance of developing mechanisms for the implementation of initiatives announced by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and heads of delegations of other countries at the SCO summit. These initiatives are aimed at developing multilateral cooperation between the member states of the Organization.

According to the results of the meeting, the statement of the ministers responsible for foreign economic and foreign trade activities of the SCO member states on support for the Multilateral trade system was adopted. At the same time, a Memorandum on strengthening cooperation in the field of supply chains was signed between the ministries and agencies responsible for foreign economic and foreign trade activities of the SCO member states.
