A joint Uzbek-Azerbaijani investment Fund will be created

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev reviewed the implementation of the agreements at the highest level.

The importance of accelerating the creation of a joint investment fund, as well as the implementation of joint projects in the oil and gas industry, automotive, chemical industry, agriculture was noted.

It was also highly appreciated that Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation is developing, trade volumes are increasing, joint projects in energy, automotive, agriculture, cotton and silk industry are being successfully implemented.

The presidents pointed out the importance of further strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties. At the end of August, cultural and scientific figures of the two countries received high state awards from Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

At the meeting, the main tasks of further strengthening the relations of Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan strategic partnership and practical cooperation were considered in detail, and further tasks in this regard were identified. The plan of upcoming events was agreed, including the agenda of the summit of the Organization of Turkic states in Samarkand.
