A list of guaranteed and free minimum social services will be formed

The Presidential decree "On approval of the strategy of social protection of the population of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was adopted. The priority areas of social protection of the population were defined by the decree.

According to it, the practice of providing social services to the population directly at the neighborhood level will be introduced.

According to the decree, the following was approved:

The strategy of social protection of the population of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its target indicators;
"Roadmap" for the implementation of this strategy in 2022-2023.
The Social Insurance Fund was established within the Ministry of Finance.

From September 1, 2022, pregnancy and maternity allowances will be paid from the Social Insurance Fund based on the minimum consumption expenses of the state social insurance.

In this case, if there are breaks in the employee's work experience of up to 1 month, the months before and after these breaks are used to calculate the consecutive work experience.

Until March 1, 2023, a list of minimum social services guaranteed by the state and provided free of charge will be formed.

Until July 1, 2023, the minimum standards of providing social services guaranteed and provided free of charge will be approved.
