A meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held
Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov held a meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of deputies and advisers of the Minister, heads of departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, heads of foreign institutions and subordinate organizations of the Ministry.
Rectors of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, University of Journalism and Mass Communications, Uzbek State University of World Languages, Tashkent State University of Economics, Tashkent State Law University were also invited to the event.
In accordance with the Board's agenda, issues of strengthening the personnel potential of the MFA system were discussed.
Proposals were discussed to improve the mechanisms of personnel management in the MFA system, to improve the qualifications of existing employees taking into account modern requirements, to attract young specialists, to introduce a system of rotation of diplomatic personnel on the principle of "the central office of the MFA – diplomatic work abroad – academic activity", updating the curricula of branch educational institutions based on the real needs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the urgent tasks set in the field of foreign policy and economic diplomacy, the development and implementation of "Road maps" on cooperation with branch universities of Uzbekistan.
Plans have been announced to create a "Club of young diplomats" at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which will include students of the last courses of the country's branch universities.
Special attention was paid at the meeting to the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign institutions in the field of economic diplomacy.
The event was attended by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisherbek Paygamov.
