A meeting of the working group consisting of experts from the Ministries of Agriculture of ECO member countries was held

Today, on July 5, a meeting of the working group consisting of experts from the ministries of agriculture of the member countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) was held in Tashkent. The event was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Representatives of 10 countries - Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan - took part in the meeting.

The main topic of the meeting of the working group was devoted to the issues of food safety and the creation of favorable conditions for facilitating trade between OIC member states. Special attention is being paid to the field of seed production, which is directly related to food security of agriculture.

This event was held on the eve of the VII meeting of the ministers of agriculture of the ECO member states.
