A meeting was held with the Ambassador of Great Britain

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov received Tim Torlot, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to our country.

During the dialogue, the current issues of strengthening and expanding cooperation in political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, educational and other spheres were discussed.

Proposals to expand relations in such areas as agriculture, light industry, innovations, energy, development of "green" economy were considered.

The ambassador noted that the British government supports large-scale reforms implemented in all aspects of society in recent years in our country.

They exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan. The British government expressed its interest in continuing bilateral consultations with the Uzbek side on the issue of Afghanistan.
