A meeting was held with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Malaysia

Today, May 19, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov met with Deputy Foreign Minister of Malaysia Kamarudin Jaffar, who arrived in our country on a working visit.

It was noted that the visit of the Malaysian Deputy Foreign Minister to Uzbekistan coincides with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, which will provide an opportunity to identify new promising areas of bilateral cooperation.

The parties expressed interest in intensifying political dialogue, strengthening inter-parliamentary ties, expanding cooperation within international organizations, education and humanitarian exchanges.

It was noted that it is important to take measures to increase trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Malaysia and diversify its structure, as well as to develop tourism and resume regular and charter flights.
