A meeting was held with the head of the EU Delegation

Today, on May 25, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and others Vladimir Norov held talks with Charlotte Adrian, Head of the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan.

During the talks, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union, as well as future bilateral and regional events.

Adrian praised the intensification of relations with Uzbekistan in recent years in a wide range of areas of mutual interest. It was noted that the institutions of joint cooperation, which serve to strengthen cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, are working effectively.

The importance of expanding joint projects in the areas of digitalization, green economy, energy, transport, agriculture, environment and climate change as part of the European Union's strategy for Central Asia was stressed.

The parties reaffirmed their readiness to hold the EU-Central Asia Ministerial Meeting in Samarkand on strengthening interdependence and sustainable development and to make thorough preparations for it.

They also exchanged views on regional and international issues.
