A new procedure for settling pensions will be introduced

Changes have been made to the Law on State Pension Provision.

According to the amendments, survivor pensions for children separated from both father and mother (true orphans) will be increased by 12 times the basic amount of the pension calculated based on the total salaries of the father and mother. Previously, it was based on 10 times the basic amount.

Also the maximum amount of income for pension calculation will be increased from 10 times to 12 times the amount of the basic pension.

These rules will enter into force on 1 January 2023.

P.S. At present the basic amount of pension accrual in Uzbekistan is 324 thousand sums.
