A number of network and regional leaders received reprimands

A video conference is being held under the chairmanship of the President. It seeks to crack down on irresponsible network and regional leaders. The director of the Pharmaceutical Agency and the acting chairman of Uzbekistan Railways have been declared "rebuke."

"In today's dynamic environment, the most effective way to ensure the sustainable growth of our economy is to use domestic potential, that is, to produce own imported finished products and further enhance local industry.

This should be a priority of Uzbek national economy.

A khokim or a branch leader who does not think about it, is unaware of the situation around it and does not understand politics has no right to work”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

It was emphasized that it is time to ask for the exact implementation of the adopted program for the launch of 2,500 projects for the production of new products worth 37 trillion UZS for 2022-2023.

The President criticized the leaders of many sectors and regions for not changing their views on the issue and for not drawing conclusions from the current situation.

It was cited that the Pharmaceutical Agency did not fulfill the plan by 51%, Uzbekistan Railways by 10%, industrial cooperation in these two systems has not started at all, and Thermal Power Plants by only 26%.

Therefore, the director of the Pharmaceutical Agency was declared "rebuke." Both of his deputies were ordered to resign.

The Prime Minister was instructed to take measures to radically alter the system and activities of the Pharmaceutical Agency.

The acting chairman of Uzbekistan Railways was severely rebuked, the chairman of Thermal Power Stations, the chairman of Uzmetkombinat and the first deputy chairman of Uzbekneftegaz were severely reprimanded.

Although 5,000 contracts worth 860 billion UZS were signed through the e-cooperation portal in January-February, they were not put into practice in some regions, and the share of enterprises in Karakalpakstan, Namangan, Surkhandarya and Khorezm in e-commerce was less than 1%.
