A procedure for evaluating the effectiveness of reforms will be introduced

The Presidential Decree "On additional measures to accelerate strategic reforms" was adopted. According to the decree, the Strategic Reforms Agency under the President was established on the basis of the Strategic Development Agency.

One of the main tasks of the Agency is to develop proposals for the reform of individual sectors and industries, and to organize and control their implementation with the involvement of local and foreign experts.

The agency coordinates the full and high-quality implementation of the development strategy of New Uzbekistan and monitoring the implementation of state programs.

The general director of the agency and his deputies are appointed by the President.

The Council of the Strategic Reforms Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established under the chairmanship of the President.

From October 1, 2022:

the procedure for implementation of reforms in sectors and industries, their coordination and evaluation of their effectiveness will be introduced;
the involvement of international financial institutions, foreign organizations and foreign specialists in the processes of sector and industry reform, as well as indiscriminate aid funds, is carried out in agreement with the Agency.
