Activities, achievements and plans of FDA in Uzbekistan

The IV Annual Consultation between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the French Development Agency (FDA), organised with the participation of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, has taken place.

It aimed at discussing the progress of ongoing joint projects supported by FDA and identifying promising initiatives contributing to sustainable development.

The event was attended by representatives of the French Development Agency, the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, Expertise France, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, as well as other relevant ministries, agencies and industry associations.

As reported during the event, the first stage of the technical meeting on 25-27 January discussed the current status of nine FDA projects worth 814 million euros, implemented in Uzbekistan in the field of solid waste management, development of green economy, livestock and public health.

As a result of the meetings, a Road Map was developed with a number of activities for project implementation in 2023.

Also during the consultations, the activities of the FDA, its main achievements in 2022 and prospective projects planned for implementation in Uzbekistan in 2023 were presented.
