It is better to support Afghanistan economically than to send humanitarian aid

In his speech at the SCO summit, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif thanked the SCO countries for their assistance to Pakistan after the severe floods. The Prime Minister also noted that it is better for the world community to help Afghanistan recover economically rather than sending humanitarian aid.
The prime minister reminded that millions of people were evacuated as a result of the natural disaster in Pakistan, 1400 people died, 400 of them were children. Millions of houses were completely or partially destroyed.
"For the past 40 years, I have worked in public administration, but I have never seen such a huge disaster. It was a disaster," said the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
