Amanbai Orinbaev appointed chairman of Jokargy Kenes

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, taking into account the leadership qualities, patriotism and human qualities of Amanbay Orinbayev, as well as proposals for the development of the region, expressed his consent to his candidacy.

Deputies of Jokargy Kenes, members of the public spoke, expressed their opinion about the candidate.

After that, the issue of electing the chairman of Jokargy Kenes was put to the vote. Amanbai Orinbaev was unanimously elected chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan by secret ballot.

Orinbaev replaced Murat Kamalov, who has been the head of Karakalpakstan since the fall of 2020. At today's session, the president sharply criticized the leadership of Karakalpakstan for the events of early June.
