Annual inflation in Japan rose 2.6 percent in July

Consumer prices in Japan increased by 2.6 percent compared to the same period last year, the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said in a statement.

At the same time, on a monthly basis, prices in July increased by 0.5% after June, after which prices did not change.

Also, the country's main consumer prices, which do not include food prices, increased by 2.4% on an annual basis.
