Bakhtiyor Saidov received the British Ambassador

On January 20, 2023 Bakhtiyor Saidov, Acting Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Tim Torlott.

The two sides held a thorough exchange of views on the current state and prospects of bilateral relations.

The sides expressed mutual interest in boosting economic diplomacy. In this context, prospects of implementation of concrete joint investment projects and expansion of trade between the two sides were considered.

Separate issues of international and regional character, in particular the interaction between the two countries in the Afghan direction were discussed.

The agenda of the meeting also included partnership in science and education, cooperation in labour migration, expansion of cultural and humanitarian ties, and further strengthening of inter-parliamentary dialogue.
